 The Digital Illumination Interface Alliance (DiiA) is an open, global consortium of lighting companies. Its main aim is to grow the market for lighting-control solutions based on IEC 62386, the international standard for digital addressable lighting interface (DALI) technology.


Certified DALI products will be eligible to carry the Certification Mark, issued by DiiA, which signifies interoperability on a global basis according to IEC 62386. Only certified products can carry the Certification Mark, and only DiiA members can certify their products.

The DALI working party was founded 2000 by leading international manufacturers in the field of lamp and luminaire control. Today, with almost 110 international members DALI is the true standard for professional digital lighting.


The main objectives of the working party are the logo licensing procedure for its interoperability and to increase its number of members as well as its position as partner network and presentation of market competences.

PLASA is the lead international membership body for those who supply technologies and services to the event, entertainment and installation industries.


The association, which operates from offices in Europe and North America, has over 425 members and acts as the worldwide voice for the industry, providing a wide range of business resources, technical support and commercial benefits to its members.

LIRC Formed in 1996, the Lighting Industry Resource Council (LIRC) exists to provide a framework within IALD for enhanced communication between professional lighting designers and manufacturers and to create an environment conducive to the collaborative improvement of products, services, business practices and lighting design education.

ASSIL, the Italian Association of Lighting Manufacturers, is an influential and qualified spokesperson at a national and international level of lighting industry operating on the Italian market. Objectives of the Association are representing, protecting and supporting member companies. These targets are achieved by giving technical support to promote good lighting practice. The purpose is to enhance the quality and performance of lighting products placed on the market, respecting individuals' visual comfort, energy efficiency requirements and environmental safeguards, as well as creating business opportunities for these products.
